  1. Can I make reservations to Medhufushi and Filitheyo Island Resort?

    Select your choice of resort from our website and send us a reservation inquiry. We will then send you the price and availability confirmation. You may thereafter make payment using one of our payment methods.

  2. How would I know my booking is confirmed?

    Our reservations will confirm your reservations via e-mail or fax with payment deadline. Once payment is received we will send you an email receipt which you could produce to our representative at the Male International Airport. Please note that we would try to accommodate special requests, but we cannot gurantee you that this would be done. But we assure you that we would do everything possible to meet your requirement.

  3. Can I make booking online to your resorts?

    Yes, you can confirm your booking instantly from our resort website as it is integrated to a real-time reservations system, which will give you immediate confirmation.

  4. Do you have diving centres in your resorts?

    Yes, our resorts are equipped with world class diving centres staffed by international diving instructors.

  5. Do you have a spa in your resorts?

    Our resorts have excellent spas which will provide you an array of treatments and massages.

  6. Do you have water sports facilities in your resort?

    Yes, our resorts are equipped with various water sports facilities.

  7. Do you provide internet services in your resorts?

    Yes. But internet services are charged. Please check rates from the resort while you make your reservations.

  8. How can I make a payment?

    Major credit cards are accepted such as Visa, Master and AMEX. If you prefer to pay by credit card Click here to download authorization form and fill it and fax it back to us. Alternatively you can wire transfer payment to our account. Click here for our bank details.

  9. Do provide meet/greet service at Male International Airport?

    Absolutely, on exiting the arrival terminal, please proceed to counter number 42.

  10. How about my transfer to the resort I confirmed my booking?

    Your transfer will be arranged by the resort but please make sure you give us proper flight details. All transfers are done by seaplane.

    AAA Hotels & Resorts own and operate Medhufushi and Filitheyo Island Resort Maldives.

  13. Where is the Maldives?

    Maldives is located right on the equator in the Southwest of Sri Lanka. Maldives lies between latitudes 4o - 17o North and longitudes 73o - 50o East. They stretch for about 820 km from North to South, 130 km at the widest point and do not exceed a length of 4.5 miles or an altitude of 6 feet above sea level. Maldives represents in Common Wealth and in United Nation. It's a Democratic nation, holding a population width of about 270,000 people (1998 consensus).

  14. How can I arrive to the Maldives?

    Travelers mostly arrive by air. Airlines such as Qatar, Emirates, Sri Lankan, British Airways, Oman Air, Malaysian Airline etc are some of the options available.

  15. Do I need a visa to enter Maldives?

    You do not require prior visa to arrive. All tourists from any country are granted free 30 days visa upon arrival. Please have valid passport/travel document with you when you arrive to the Maldives. If your travel document expiry date falls within 30 days of arrival, tourists cannot extend their stay beyond the passport expiry date.

  16. When is the best time to visit Maldives?

    Maldives has fairly constant temperature but if you would like to have extra hours of sunshine, you should visit the Maldives between December – April. This is being high season prices are higher than the rest of the season. Between May to October is a very good period to travel to the Maldives and hotels are cheaper.

  17. Where is the Airport?

    Male’ International Airport is located at Hulhule, a long and narrow island located just 4 km from the capital Male’.

  18. What is the name of the currency used in the Maldives?

    Currency used in the Maldives is called "Riffiyaa". One US dollar is equivalent to 12.85 Ruffiya (Bankers buying rate) and this value does not fluctuate very much.

  19. What kind of clothes can I wear while in the Maldives?

    Dress is generally casual. T-shirts and cotton clothing are most suitable. In Male’, the capital island and other inhabited islands it is recommended that women wear modest clothing without baring too much.
    *Nudism is prohibited.

  20. What is the climate in the Maldives like?

    Being in equator, generally Maldives is warm and humid. Sun shines year around. Average temperature is around 29 - 32 degrees Celsius.

  21. What is the standard Maldives time?

    Maldives is 5 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT + 5:00)

  22. What is the language used in the Maldives?

    Dhivehi is the language spoken in all parts of the Maldives. English is widely spoken by Maldivians and visitors can easily make themselves understood getting around the capital island. In the resorts, a variety of languages are spoken by the staff including English, German, French, Italian and Japanese.

  23. Am I expected to pay tips?

    Tipping is not very common in the Maldives. If you feel that your host served you well with whole heart it is recommended to tip him/her.

  24. What is the taxi fare?

    Tourist normally pays US$2.00 for any given trip from one point to the other in Male’. You may be charged for the luggage based on the number of pieces.

  25. Can I take liquor to the Maldives?

    Sorry, you are not allowed to import any liquor to the Maldives. If you have bought liquor or any alcohol related item(s) from duty free, you will be required to leave it with the custom’s bond on your arrival. The said goods will be returned to you on your departure.

  26. What is the electrical supply use in the Maldives?

    Voltage in Maldives is 220/240 volts. An adapter is recommended for using appliances you bring with you. Medhufushi and Filitheyo provide hair dryers and other amenities to their guests.

  27. What are the business hours in the Maldives?

    From Sunday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:00 in the government sector and generally from 9:00 to 17:00 in the private sector, although most offices in the private sector open for a half day on Saturday. Weekend falls on Friday and Saturday. Medhufushi and Filitheyo will have their reception open 24hrs for the convenience of guests.

  28. Is Maldives safe to visit or travel?

    Yes, the Maldives is considered as one of the safest places in the World..

  29. Are there hospitals and clinics in the Maldives?

    The Maldives has good medical and dental services, pharmacies, a government hospital and many private clinics in the capital city of Male’. Filitheyo has its own doctor in the island and Medhufushi will arrange medical services from the nearby island, which is about a 20 minute boat ride.
